Elizabeth and Patty put out the call to read the Crafter's Devotional Book as a tool to help motivate us in the studio, you can read about my original post here. While I have not completed the 2 projects that I have picked out, it did get me thinking about what I want to do and better yet what I do not want to do. I have shows coming up and I have had a hard time getting my production up to meet the demand and to replenish my etsy inventory and gallery shop inventory. I have found that sketching out my ideas and designs has really helped in this area.
Secondly, I really love working with others so a chance to team up with someone to collaborate is what is motivating me this week. It was great meeting for lunch and discussing ideas.
I will be doing a post introducing our partnership in the next week or so, but what I have learned is I love this joint venture that I am working on, I am excited and motivated to work. I have someone to encourage me, push me, and have lunch with me that is as excited about the jewelry that I am creating as I am.
The icing on the cake this week is this great quote I found on the facebook page of Kalmbach Jewelry Books. This may just be one of my favorite quotes ever. I hope you have found a bit of inspiration. What inspires you?
I am not sure if the image is showing up on some systems so this is the quote that should be as an image above: "Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the believers and the thinkers, but most of all, surround yourself with those who see the greatness within you, even when you don't see it yourself."
