Challenge of Music Blog Hop..."Wildflower" by Sheryl Crow

Today is the reveal day for the Challenge of Music blog hop, hosted by Erin Prais-Hintz I decided to sign up because I am inspired by many music artists, but Sheryl Crow in particular.  I listen to her itunes Original album alot.  This album  explains her journey and creative process. Her song Wildflower, came to be when she got out of her own  way. I have wanted to create a piece inspired by Sheryl Crow and  Wildflower for a long time so the challenge was perfect for me. Did you know that Sheryl Croew used to be a teacher until she wrote a jingle for McDonalds that earned her such a tidy sum that she decided to try to make a career as a music Artist.

Thank you Sheryl for the inspiration, taking a leap of faith on yourself and blessing this world with your beautiful music!

I had many designs to work on, but the pendant spoke to me for this challenge. I used a handmade pendant, chain and clasp some rose quartz and blue qurtz, do not remeber what it is and finally some sari silk to match. Lyrics below.

"Wildflower"

Quiet hour You have always been my wildflower Showing up wherever beauty's lost its way Your heart must breakI was free Until I heard the song you sang me to me Pulling me away from everything I knew To be with youAnd everything I know just fades away And every time you go it hurts me so I don't know why when I know we're free Free to flyHere we are Burning faster than the closest star Falling back down to the Earth I love you so it sometimes hurtsCloser still You will find me standing on the hill Waiting for you with my arms stretched open wide Now, come insideAnd everything I know just fades away And every time you go it hurts me so I don't know why when I know we're free Free to flyAnd everything I know just fades away And when a wildflower grows it picks its space And that's the way it is when nature plays its lovely hand We'll understand everythingEverything, everything
