I am so excited to be part of the 5th Bead Soup Blog Party, hosted by the talented and amazing Lori Anderson of Pretty Things. This time my partner is Sarah of Saturday Sequins. Sarah sent me a great mix of soup, including a hand made clasp and a beautiful focal. The focal was drilled on the diagonal and I decided I wanted to set it in a bezel so it would hang square. I used the green beads that Sarah sent me, a leaf from Karen of Starry Road Studio, and some Vintaj chain and beads. It is a pillow, so a bit tricky and I knew there would be no turning back.
To add a bit of interest I embossed the copper base, to my surprise when all was said and done, I had a double sided pendant. I designed the peice in order to have the necklace look great on both sides.
Edit: I added 2 new photso, I have been having camera issues. Enjoy and still plenty of time to enter the mystery soup give away winners will be announced on March 17, 2012.
I promised to work with my sequins, but ran out of time, so I will post something when I announce the winners of the mystery soups on March 17th.
Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate all the comments and can not wait to see what everyone created.
I will be late to this party on a trip to Jamiaca with 14 ladies for a big birthday celebration, maybe I will find some beads!
I will start hopping when I get back on Monday night or Tuesday morning. Please leave a comment and I will have some mystery soups that I will mail out as a prize. Winners announced Saturday March 17, St. Patrick's Day.
I know it will take me that long to catch up after being away and have time to visit all the blogs.
To Sarah and Lori and pie, Enjoy!!!!
